UPPER LAKES FOODS GENERAL TERMS OF SALE • NON FOODS CATEGORY
It is our goal to provide you with the best customer service and buying
experience. Please read the following general terms of sale regarding
purchasing products through Upper Lakes Foods. If you have any
questions, please contact your Upper Lakes Foods sales representative.
GENERAL ORDERING INFORMATION
To expedite your order, please have the
following information included:
• Customer Account Number
• Upper Lakes Foods Item Number
• Separate purchase order for all special order items is recommended
• Preferred Shipping Method

SHIPPING INFORMATION
Standard Delivery:
• All orders placed for non-food items will ship with your
regularly scheduled Upper Lakes Foods dry order.
• Your normal Upper Lakes Foods order deadlines apply
for all Upper Lakes Foods truck deliveries.
Expedited Delivery Through Dot on Demand Services:
• A separate purchase order is required for any order
using FedEx/RPS and vendor direct shipments.
• Expedited shipments received by 6 pm CST will be shipped out
by the next day. All orders sent over on Saturday or Sunday will
be shipped out by Tuesday. All requests for next day or 2nd day
delivery must be noted on the purchase order and received by
9:30am CST. These shipments will take priority over ground orders.
• Distributor/Dealer may send factory direct shipments
to their end user/operator customer.
• All weights and measures represented are
provided by manufacturers.
• FedEx charges will be added to the final invoice.
• A $4.00 per case repack charge will be added to china and
glassware shipped via FedEx/RPS from Dot Foods.
• Upper Lakes Foods will not issue credit for refused glass or
china items shipped at the customer’s request via FedEx.
• Distributor is solely responsible for any breakage of glassware or
china shipped via FedEx, RPS or UPS from manufacturer’s facilities.
Freight Claims:
• All visual damage of goods shipped from a manufacturer or Upper
Lakes Foods are to be noted on the freight bill at time of receiving.
• The consignee is responsible for filing all
freight claims with the carrier.
SAMPLE POLICY
• Sample requests should be processed via manufacturer’s
rep or manufacturer’s customer service desk.
Factory Direct Ship Orders:
• Any factory direct ship order is subject to a manufacturer’s minimum
order policy and may be subject to broken case and freight charges.
• Any special order item direct shipped from
the manufacturer is not returnable.
• Some items in the catalog cannot be shipped on a Upper
Lakes Foods truck. These items will be shipped FOB factory
direct to distributor or end user. Freight charges do apply.
RETURNS POLICY
• All eligible items must be approved by Upper
Lakes Foods prior to returning.
• Product must be purchased on a Upper Lakes Foods invoice
within the last 120 days to be eligible for return.
• Return requests are for items purchased from
Upper Lakes Foods stocked inventory only.
• Any item sold in an “each” quantity is not returnable.
• Special order or custom items are not returnable.
• All return items must be in original factory
carton and unused condition.
• Credit will be issued only after receipt and
product inspection by Upper Lakes Foods.
• There will be a 20% restocking charge on all returned goods.
BACKORDERS
• Upper Lakes Foods does not automatically backorder stock items.
• All Upper Lakes Foods customers receive an order confirmation.
Once you are notified of a shortage, please contact your Upper
Lakes Foods Customer Service Representative to re-order.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
• Upper Lakes Foods does not warranty any products
purchased through our redistribution services.
• All warranty work as it relates to parts and services is
between the distributor and the manufacturer.
• Customers should refer to the warranty information
provided by the manufacturer.
• Upper Lakes Foods will provide assistance as to proof
of purchase and/or invoice copies if required.
• For warranty contact information, please contact
your Upper Lakes Foods Sales Representative.
• Distributor or Dealer must fax a copy of the Upper Lakes Foods
invoice showing sales transaction to them as well as faxed copy
of the Distributor or Dealer Invoice to end user. Manufacturer
can only be of assistance when this information is provided.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
• Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available as needed by
asking your Upper Lakes Foods Customer Service Representative.
